An award, Moe & 8 random things

Sassy (My bloggy buddy) gave me a friendship blog award! I've seen this award on other people's blogs and was always jealous happy for them! Now I finally get one and I'm supposed to spread the love by giving this award to 8 other bloggers. Continue reading below to see who I chose for this awesome award!

The other day Moe glanced at my blog and noticed the tribute that I wrote about him. He looked shocked at first and then was very pleased. He read what I wrote and was laughing. He said, "Mom, why didn't you tell me that you wrote about me?" I told him that I wanted to give parents out there hope that teenagers can be really frustrating cool kids. He went on to read the comments and it made him feel really good. Moe must have been in a really good mood because he took out the garbage, cleaned up his room, and didn't complain about my cooking. I probably should write a nice tribute about him every week! On a serious note...thank you everyone for writing nice comments about him. Moe has had a rough year and it's nice to see him doing well again.

September Mom tagged me to play 8 things. Here are a few of them:

8 Things That I'm Looking Forward To

- Have my children's book published
- Learn how to swim (I'm think I'm the only Polynesian girl who doesn't!)
- Losing more weight
- Vacation in Greece
- Go back to school
- Getting younger
- Visiting old friends
- Moe finally getting his driver's permit!

8 Things I Wish I Could Do
- Sing in tune
- Visit all the continents in one year
- Parallel park
- Drive like an Indy Car Racer
- Erase all my cellulite
- Eat as much as I want without gaining weight
- Hire a gourmet cook
- Grow money on trees

8 bloggers who I want to pass the Frienship Blog award to....

- September Mom (She's a talented writer & poet. And her posts are always inspirational!)

- The Crazy Coxes (The stories of her family are always fun & entertaining!)

- Sally (I crack up on all her posts! She has a sarcastic wit that is extremely hilarious. One of my favorite posts was a letter she wrote to her gynecologist, something that every woman can relate to!)

- Melinda (She's HILARIOUS! She can turn ordinary, everyday events and make it funny)

-Wendy (She's a nurse, mother of 3, the youngest still a baby and one of the first people to comment on my blog! She is Supermom!)

-Shelle
(A talented photographer and I love her writing style. She also happens to be funny as well!)

- Monica (She's one of my good bloggy buddies and is an awesome support on my weight loss blog. Her posts always motivates me!)

-Heatherlyn
(I just became a recent reader of her blog & became hooked with the first visit!)

Thanks again Sassy for the cool award!

Congrats on the award! And you have a great list. You'll share if you do figure out how to eat without gaining weight, yes? That one sounds better than money on trees.

Moe sounds like an awesome kid!

Do you know how awesome you are? It is a wonderful mom who does that for her son...I am glad it helped him realize he is pretty awesome too! Our youngest has had such a rough year as well with his second knee surgery from football injuries and just life...if we get him through his senior year I will just be so grateful....at first I thought hey I gave you that award as well...remember? Then I clicked on the name Sarah and saw you were talking about me....only my name is Kayola...LMFBO...Sorry you probably only know me by Sassy or Sarah or Crazy or whatever you want to call me...that's okay...I still wouldn't change who I gave it to....you were an instant friend! ~Sarah a.k.a. Kayola{Sassy}

Your lists were great!

I also would love to visit Greece. There are a few places in this world I'd like to see before I die and that is one of them.

And I wish I could parallel park. Or just park well. I think I could if my life depended on it. But I'm not a good parker. My husband backs into every space. I'm so jealous. I so can't do that.

And when you figure out how to grow money on trees, please let me know. :)

Thanks Again!
Oh....and can I still have the award even though I can eat anything and everything and not gain weight? Or should I not have told you that?

Congrats on your friendship award! Well deserved. You are a truly sweet blogging friend to all! Moe is a terrific kid. The tribute was beautiful. It's so nice how he helped around the house. I need to inspire my sons to pitch in too :) I need to learn how to swim too and forget about parallel parking! Thanks so much for giving me the Friendship Award! I really appreciate our friendship.

H.K.,

Thank you so much for the shout out! You are so sweet! I really enjoy reading your blogs, as well. It's such a pleasure to read about your family. I can tell that you all love each other very much.

Glad my trip to the ob-gyn made you laugh. The one thing that makes those visits slightly more tolerable is knowing that I'm not the only one flashing my ta-tas at a strange man with a medical degree (hmmm....at least I hope he has a medical degree).

Just tell Moe --it's ok to have a really bad year. We all do sometimes and I am not just saying that cause I'm supposed to --Life -Is --Hard. I have a son who went through some REALLY bad times, but has come out on top. Yay. Go Moe.

and all your 8 things were entertaining. fun to learn little details about people.

I'm with you on all the things I wish I could do. Money on trees. Erasing cellulite. Eat whatever I want. Hard to pick just one.
