Okay, I'm a real COPYCAT. I've seen this done on a couple of blogs. So of course, I have to do it too!
A Mother
Blowing Kisses
Cuddling her "little" son
Defender of dreams
Eagerly waiting...
For a light to appear
Giving love, peace, and order to our
Home
Interested in
Jams and jellies on
Krusteaz waffles and pancakes
Licking wounds
Making them magically disappear
Nodding agreement in an
Offer of truce
Politely refusing
Quotes from my rebellious youth
Regretful of pasts mistakes
Saddened that
Time flies too quickly
Ultimately I crave for a
Vacation in a faraway land
Wondering what will happen next
Xanax I don't need
Youthful enthusiasm is what I seek
Zealously I guard every zany, crazy, and beautiful moments that I call... my life

You did a great job with that ABC poem. Xanax reference is funny. I've had many of those moments of truce lately with my 12 year old. I have to try one of these poems too!!
septembermom: I had so much fun doing the abc poem. I know you will have a blast too, it's also a great way to exercise your writing skills!
Wow...I wouldn't think that would be the least bit easy...but you made it seem effortless. I'm very impressed! I really enjoyed that poem. And as a mom...no way to survive without those moments of truce.
Thanks nikkicrumpet! And i love those moments of truce too, especially when my son is a few months shy of 17!
I love this! I did a few ABC poems a while back in response to a writing prompt, and it was hugely challenging! But I DUG it.
