I have always loved reading Tuesday Tribute posted by other bloggers and decided it's time for me to write a tribute to my teenager Moe. (Tuesday's Tribute is hosted by Angie at "Seven Clown Circus.")
About two years ago, Renaissance Man was unemployed. We told Moe that our budget would be tight and that he had to make do with what we could provide. He stepped up to the plate and earned his own pocket money. We had a stock of energy drinks that was sent to RM from a company wanting to do business with him. Moe sold them during lunch at school and received quite a profit. (not sure if it was against the rules, but his teachers loved the drinks!) He also worked a few hours a week as a catering assistant and collected cans for recycling. He talked the caterer into letting him sell some of the catered foods at parties only if he could get a percentage of what he sold. The caterer agreed and a business deal was struck! RM has since been employed, and Moe retired from his entrepreneurial pursuits. He continues to be frugal with his money and doesn't take anything that we give him for granted.
Moe adores his father. They have a bond that is unbreakable. I wish I could say that for the two beds that they broke while wrestling! They are banned from wrestling in the house.
Moe has always loved playing in the water. Whether it's in the swimming pool, playing with the water hose, or acting silly in the ocean.
When Moe was little he couldn't pronounce Grandma and called my mother "Granna" instead. They're very close and his eyes still light up when he knows his Granna is in town.
Moe will always be a Goofball, but he's MY adorable Goofball.

love the tribute, sounds like Moe is a great kid!
Moe is fun to have around! It's nice to see how well you all get along. I hope my boys turn into such good teenagers too! Wonderful tribute for your adorable goofball.
That's a great tribute! That is amazing that he started his own ways of making decent money!
What a lucky mom to have such a great son!
AWE! You should be proud!
And yes, I can see how he could break a bed...he and his dad are BIG.
I think everyone should pay tribute to their kids at some point. I've learned quickly the best way to encourage good behavior is to praise it. Moe sounds like a great kid...and your wrestling matches sound much like Hubby's and my kids.
GREAT Tribute! You have a nice kid there!!!
Awwww...such a sweet story. Sounds like you're a very proud mamma of Moe...and you should be! He seems like a fine young man!
Hugz,
Michele
Moe sounds like a great kid!! Loved your tribute to him. :)
What a great kid! And entrepreneur!
He's so resourceful. Sounds like you won't have to worry about him as an adult! : ) What a great "kid!"
I love the tribute! Teenagers ROCK! Moe ROCKS!
K what a cool guy...obviously YOU were an excellent parent! :)
It looks like your financial struggles were a blessing because your son learned early-on the value of a dollar and how to earn it for himself. He sounds like a very smart, hard-working kid. That is so GREAT!!!
as billy Idol would say
I want MO MO MO! he is awesome!
I was just going to say what Mother Goose did...so I'll just say I concur....he sounds awesome!!!! What a great kiddo!

Quite the money maker you have there! That's gonna come in handy when he gets older.
Fabulous Tribute!
I tagged you to play a meme on my blog today!
Great tribute! Thanks for stopping by T Rex Mom and Dad Tales today. We're glad to have you!
Your son sounds like quite a young man. Speaks volumes about his parents!
he sounds like a great kid
those were some nice things to know about MOE--I can tell by the shine in your eyes how much you love him --and as I told you before, I love your profile photo of where you seem to have you head on his shoulder --so tender. THOSE ARE SOME BIG BOYS to be wrestling in the house for sure.
I hope that you have a back-up program to save this blog to print it someday for your son. What a nice way to show him how much you love him. Well done.
