Last Saturday I was a BFF (Blog Fart Fridays), but posted on a Saturday. This week I couldn't think of any "farty" thing to say and decided to participate "High Five Fridays" hosted by
Angela's Adventures and Minor Mishaps. Fridays seem to be busy days for me, so I'm doing my list on Saturday.
All you have to do is list 5 things that's on your mind. Example, 5 reasons why you should eat that last piece of chocolate, 5 reasons why you shouldn't strangle your psychotic ex-friend and list 5 mental exercises to help you not blow your top with your teenager. I will list "5 reasons why Renaissance Man needs to get his own blog...now!"
1. He keeps checking to see if the post that he wrote on my blog is still getting comments...EVERYDAY!
2. RM wrote one post and seems to think he's an expert blogger.
3. We will be in the middle of a conversation and he would say something that that only HE thinks is funny and tells me that I should blog about what he said or he would always come up with "new and exciting material" for my blog.
4. He saw a segment on Oprah Winfrey that showcased Dooce, the mother of all blogs in which she stated that she makes over $40,000 a month in revenue from advertisement! RM believes that when he starts a blog, he can match her revenue.
5. I don't want to share! Since I started a blogging just a little over a month ago, RM took a polite interest in my new hobby. He listened politely as I read the comments that I received and I would share with him what I wrote. Then he was bitten by the Blog Bug! This blog is my baby and I don't want it to become "our blog."
One day SOON, Renaissance Man will get his own blog. And I will help him start one, so that he can leave my blog alone!

Those seem like perfectly reasonable reasons. Plus, if he has his own blog he can design his own background and such. Imagine the artistic freedom he would suddenly feel!
Too funny! My husband cares nothing for my blog, nothing! Tell him to start one, I'm sure I'll read his too! haha
I think my husband would be happy if my blog was blown up and killed. He has no interest in it.
funny post : ) my husband still doesnt really understand the concept of my blog... he just doesnt get it!
RM is a blogger at heart too it seems! Definitely encourage him to get his own blog. He may start up a husband blogging movement :) He probably wants to guest post again. If he does, I'll leave TWO comments!!
I love it. I wish my man would blog or even guest post to my blog. NOPE, but we do have a fun relationship and banter on facebook with all of our friends in real life. I would definitely read RM's blog because I like you so much too.
I have another friend who's husband started blogging and he had a ton of followers and then all of a sudden he quit posting. They are fun together.
Your blogs could be kinda he said she said. Have a blogging comment war, but to RM who says he can make $40k a month. I SAY BRING IT!!! and when you do can you tell me how. I don't care if I even make $100 a month at least its better than nuttin'
that would be great if he started his own blog - more of a male perspective on things. It is sweet I think that he is interested--my husband would run the other direction at the meer mention of "help me with this blog" but now he offers to take my photos and yes will even ask --are you putting that on your blog --just like your man.
however, blogs are not to be shared, never!!
If he thinks he can make $40k then he certainly should have his own blog. Especially if he is making post topic suggestions. Shows his mind is in the right place
My husband is always telling me to get a life...but I think he secretly enjoys it.
I think it would be cute for you guys to blog together! :)
I think BOTH RM and Moe should start their own blogs. We could all be entertained by all the perspectives!
Sounds like RM definitely needs his own blog! :)
Sounds like a good idea....I feel your pain...I was gone one day and mine had put five comments on one post...I got so excited to think I had all these comments and THEY WERE ALL STINKIN' HIM.....Seriously one of them said...."it feels like Wednesday but it's only Tuesday" Are you serious...but this is a man two Christmas Eve's ago...we are sitting in Sacrament meeting and his phone keeps going off and we keep telling him and he keeps saying "IT'S NOT MINE"...Finally he opens it and it is a message to remind him..."IT'S CHRISTMAS TOMORROW!" This is what I live with....if he ever helped with Christmas he would realize it was a happenin' deal...sorry you didn't need a novel..but all your posts remind me of something that has happened here.
Oh No! I was afraid of this happening when he did a guest post ... and now it is happening! Arggghh! Good luck in trying to "tame" the blog bug and his grandiose ideas! HAHA! This totally cracked me up.
I think it's really cute that he gets so involved. My hubby will let me read a post or two to him...but I think he's rolling his eyes behind my back lol. He also threatened me if I posted anymore picture of him. I think it's cool that your hubby wants to help you!
