Mother's Day Feast all for ME!!!

Moe is doing a lot better, he's able to walk on the leg with the injured knee and his attitude and spirit is much better. His friends came to visit him, and there's nothing like getting birthday money from my sister to have him smiling all day! And he loved the birthday wishes and supportive comments he got from my last post. Thank you everyone! Now, let's move on to my Mother's Day.

I love Mother's Day because it is the only day in the year that Renaissance Man and Moe makes a homemade meal for me. It was so nice not to have to plan a meal. When we came home from church, RM asked me what time we should have dinner. I looked at him and said, "I don't care, that's YOUR department." Oh, it felt good to say that without feeling guilty! It was a guilt free day!

I went upstairs, changed into my PJ's (it was only 1pm), took my stash of Mother's Day chocolates, ate to my heart's content while reading a really good book. Meanwhile, I hear kitchen drawers opening & closing, dishes rattling, pots and pans clanging, and I was upstairs resting!

A few hours later, I was presented with Mustard grilled chicken (recipe from Weight watchers) and tortellini with pesto sauce (not a Weight watchers recipe). It was the first time they made the dish and it was delicious! RM did such a great job with the presentation of the meal, I forgot to take a picture of it. Oh, well, there's always next year.

They made one of my favorite desserts, chocolate dipped strawberries.

Before picture.

After Picture - unfortunately most of it went to MY Belly. I'm the only who loves them, so Moe & RM only had one each and I had....over a dozen.

I definitely went over my points with Weight Watchers and it was worth every bite!

Oh, I'm so glad you had a good Mother's Day!! Sounds like the men in your life really made it special for you!!! And don't feel bad about going over your WW points.. you deserved it. Plus, those are strawberries... chocolate or not, they count as fruit in my book!! :)

Good for you! Points don't count on Mother's Day! I love strawberries and chocolate too, but my hubby doesn't. I wouldn't have even let him have ONE! You were kind to share! :)

Chocolate and strawberries is the most perfect for any age gift, the better is to make chocolate covered strawberries is a different and interesting idea for chocolate dip fruits.

What a great Mother's Day! It sounds so peaceful (even with pots and pans banging)!

There are no calories in strawberries ------see the fruit quotiant(sp) is far more then the chocolate percentage, so you probably got NO calories at all. see, aren't you glad I told you that.

It is absolutely okay to go over your points on Mother's Day...at least I think so....they did great...the meal sounds awesome and slipping into PJ's at 1:00 in the afternoon sounds like heaven....I am so glad you had a great day!

When my son had his surgery after being injured in football...it really set him backwards...he slipped really down in the dumps...as a mom it was hard to watch...I am glad he is doing better...I wished I had thought of having my sister send $$$$$ what a great aunt to do that for him...LOL
