There are so many reasons why I love Christmas. One of the things that I love to do, is picking out a tree with my family and decorating it.
I love that Renaissance Man and Moe wants to observe the holiday traditions that we have had for many years- hanging up the stockings, decorating the house, going to Christmas concerts, baking Christmas goodies, and making gingerbread houses.
I especially love seeing RM putting up the most tackiest Christmas decorations around the house. If there was a prize for tacky decorations, we would win, hands down. Alas, I have my pride and refuse to post those pictures on this blog.

PS Your tree is so pretty.
Your sister looks very sweet too!
I know you turned off comments above but I felt compelled to comment because I love your idea of "orphan Christmas". Josh and I are started a similar concept next year (once we're in our new house and have the room). We realize we go here, there and everywhere to spend such limited time with family that are rushing around that next year we're hosting a free for all. People can come to us and we can actually relax and enjoy company. And friends who have no where else to go because of out-of-town family, etc, can come too! I can't wait!
I also ♥ the idea of Orphaned Christmas......I searched and searched for a comment place.....my life has been so full of good and crappy but had no time to blog...tonight I sat down and read blogs and I have missed yours.....I am so sorry for whatever you are going through right now but will keep you in my prayers....please know you have friends who care...even ones who have not met you........MERRY CHRISTMAS and I hope your NEW YEAR will begin better than it ended.......hugs to you.....
